Indianapolis is home to many nature centers and nature parks. We’re on a quest to explore them all this summer. These are our favorite ones so far:
Eagle Creek Ornithology Center and Earth Discovery Center
With many places to explore and things to do, these centers are a favorite stop for visitors to Eagle Creek Park. There are special programs and even days you can watch the animals being fed!
Habitat Hall at Holliday Park
A newly renovated and attractive space with room for every type of explorer to learn things. Children can dress up, pretend and play.
Cool Creek Nature Center
School groups and nature lovers will explore the science of Indiana woodlands. Guests will discover the importance of preserving plants and animals in their natural habitats. The center is open Monday thru Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.. There are great programs for all ages and many interests.
McCloud Nature Park & Nature Center
